Larry Stanier is an IFMGA Mountain Guide and CAA professional member with over 35 years experience in the avalanche business. Larry brings a depth of experience from his time as Ski Patroller, Kananaskis Country Public Safety Inspector, Heliski and Snowcat ski guide and ski touring guide. His scope of expertise spans many continents, being sought out as avalanche educator and consult in the European Alps, Japan, and Iceland. Larry has also worked as an operational inspector for Helicat Canada Association, an examiner for the Association of Canadian Mountain guides, and as an instructor for the Canadian Avalanche Association, the Canadian Military and the Japan Avalanche network. Larry’s vast resume is rounded our perfectly by his need to seek out and nurture his own sense of adventures both in Canada and abroad. He has climbed the French, Swiss, Austrian and Italian Alps, the Himalayas, Alaska, the Yukon, Baffin Island, New Zealand, South America and Australia.
